From October 2023 to March 2024, our "Taste of Sunland" series will transport you to a tropical paradise filled with tantalizing culinary surprises.
Initially launched during the pandemic with "Tiny Kitchen, Big Flavor," we're thrilled to bring this program to life for our guests. Prepare for a feast for all five senses at Sunland RV Resorts!
Meet the Chefs
Chef Jorge Villabona
Jorge Villabona is a renowned chef and Sunland's Corporate Chef. Prior to joining Sunland, he co-owned and was the chef de cuisine at Shame on The Moon restaurant in Southern California, which received the "Restaurant of The Year" award for seven consecutive years. He also served as executive sous chef at Wally's Desert Turtle, where U.S. presidents and Hollywood's elite have dined for over 40 years. Villabona's culinary skills were honed at the legendary Hotel de Paris in Monte-Carlo, France, which is home to several Michelin-rated restaurants. He first learned how to cook from his mother and grandmother while growing up on his family's ranch in Bogato, Columbia.
