On Sunday October 23, 2011 over 10,000-13,000 spectators lined the streets of El Paseo for the annual golf cart parade. Dancers, vendors, food stands, golf carts, painters and balloons filled the roads. With a “circus style” parade theme, there was no shortage of clowns and wildly decorated golf carts as businesses, nonprofit organizations and school bands participated in the procession that lasted a little more than an hour.
Emerald Desert took 2nd Place for the category of “Mayor’s Award” out of 85 entries/floats in the parade! Congratulations to the Emerald team!
