Mission Beach and Mission Bay
If you are looking for the perfect spot to enjoy the end of summer, Mission Bay Park and Mission Beach have everything you could want!

Mission Beach

This laid-back neighborhood attracts all kinds of beachgoers. Whether you are interested in surfing, sunbathing, or water activities, Mission Beach is the place to be. Not to mention two miles of oceanfront boardwalk to stroll along for anyone not looking to go in the water. And one of San Diego's most iconic attractions, Belmont Park, is right on the boardwalk. While at the beach there are activities for the whole family, such as biking, beach volleyball, boogie boarding, surfing, whale watching, sport fishing, and scuba diving. And if you are looking for nightlife, there are plenty of bars in Mission Beach and in nearby Pacific Beach.

Mission Beach And Mission Bay

Mission Bay Park

Next to Mission Beach is Mission Bay Park, the largest man-made aquatic park in the U.S. This family-friendly spot is surrounded by grassy parks, playgrounds, picnic tables, and miles of paved sidewalks. Rent a sailboat, go out on a jet ski, take a leisurely bayside bike ride, or watch the kids play by the water.

There are many sections in Mission Bay to visit and spend the day, like Fiesta Island, Crown Point Park, and Ski Beach Park. Parking in a city is always a challenge, so our insider tip is to go to Corona Oriente Road Parking to enjoy Crown Point and easy parking.

Crown Point Park is on the east side of Crown Point on Mission Bay and it has a grass park and a sand beach with fire pits along the shores and flat sandy areas at the south end. This area is used for beach volleyball tournaments and other special events. The park also has a play area for kids, two basketball courts, and a boat launch. And if you are into water skiing, you can also do it at Crown Point. There are many ways you can get to Mission Bay from our San Diego RV properties, Get on the I-8 W, follow I-8 W to W Mission Bay Dr in San Diego. Then, take exit 1 from I-8 W, Continue on W Mission Bay Dr.
