Super Saturday Charity Fundraiser

On January 18, Golden Village Palms RV Resort held the year's first Super Saturday Charity Fundraiser to raise money for disabled veterans. Together with resort guests and community members, Golden Village Palms was able to collect over $3,200 in just one day.

The Super Saturday event, the first of three this year, included a 5K run/walk, as well as shuffleboard, pickleball, women's billiards, sand volleyball, and Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments

"Every year, Golden Village Palms selects a charity or cause to fund raise for. This year, we are proud to support wounded and disabled veterans," remarked Michael Carle, General Manager at Golden Village Palms. "We are so proud of our guests, staff and community for coming together to make this Super Saturday Charity Fundraiser a success."

In 2013, Golden Village Palms and its guests raised over $7000 for the Hemet Police Department's K-9 unit. The donated money allowed the department to purchase a new police service dog.

Golden Village Palms RV Resort is scheduled to host two additional Super Saturday Charity Fundraisers this season. The events are slated for Saturday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, March 8. These events are open to the public.

The cost is $10.00 per person per event, and awards are given out for each event.
