Sunland RV Resorts has expanded its presence in Florida with the recent purchase of Silver Palms RV Resort, a 90-acre, gated, five-star facility on the north side of Lake Okeechobee.
The resort is being developed in phases and will total 512 sites when completed, according to Reza Paydar, president and CEO of La Jolla, Calif-based Sunland RV Resorts. Sunland owns seven resorts in Southern California, including Golden Village Palms the largest rv resort in California. Sunland assets additionally include Emerald Desert RV a luxury RV property considered the most luxurious resort in California's Coachella Valley.
Silver Palms RV Resort, South Florida's premier RV resort accommodates all types of recreational vehicles. The resort offers large-sized lots for purchase, as well as sites for rent on a daily or extended stay basis.
The current development was started in 2009 and the first phase, featuring 167 lots and extensive amenities, was completed at a cost in excess of $15 million. Work on Phase 2 will begin in late spring with completion of 200 lots anticipated by November 2013,Paydar said. Phase 3 will encompass 152 additional lots. Sunland will invest an additional $10 million for Phases 2 and 3.
Many of the RV owners at the destination resort enjoy the option of upgrading their own RV site to include: stylish brick paver patios, outdoor kitchens, additional landscaping, cabanas, golf cart parking and tropical tiki huts.
