The Toyota Concert Series at the San Diego County Fair is back! And the line up is amazing! Darius Rucker, Hunter Hayes, Smokey Robinson, Toni Braxton and Babyface, Huey Lewis and the News, Third Eye Blind, Joe Nichols with Jana Kramer, Jeff Dunham, Zendaya, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, REO Speedwagon, and more! There will also be an incredible Gospel Festival starring Fred Hammond and featuring Brent Jones, Frank White & Flight, Stephanie Courtney, Lyfted, Purpose Project and many others. Included in the new attractions is The World of Wonders Amazement Show. According to the fair's website the show features 12 live acts including knife throwers, whip crackers, sword swallowers, contortionists, and illusions similar to those used in the days of traveling carnival shows.Food for Thought
You can't talk about this Del Mar fair without talking about the food. From the incredible to the wacky, this fair has it all. According to sdfair.com, some of the newest culinary additional are the: triple decker Krispy Kreme burger (that's 3 meat patties book ended by two krispy kreme donuts), smoked bacon-wrapped churros (pretty self explanatory), and banana fosters pie (waffle crust stacked with ice cream, covered with bananas, caramel and whipped cream - YUM!). It's San Diego, the new beer capitol of the US and the neighbor of SoCal's wine region. So, of course, it's only right that the fair include a beer and wine tasting and exhibit. The exhibit will showcase the winners of theSan Diego International Beer Competition, Homebrew Competition, Toast of the Coast Wine Competition, and Homemade Wine Competition. Fair-goers can expect a Beatles-themed exhibit, as well as an exhibit dedicated to President John F. Kennedy. The exhibit includes many personal items from JFK and his wife, Jacqueline.
