February: Wellness Month Across Sunland

February is Wellness Month here at Sunland RV Resorts! To kick off our month of healthy initiatives, we're sharing some of the top activities in and around our resorts! Get moving, get healthy … get to Sunland!

Thanks to recent construction efforts, Emerald Desert RV Resort is the proud owner of 3 brand new pickleball courts. These courts replaced an existing tennis court (not to worry, one tennis court still exists!). In addition to the new blue courts, Emerald Desert is hosting weekly matches and lessons, courtesy of Mike Thompson's RV Super Stores. MTRV is helping share the fastest growing game with all of our RV guests. Ask anyone, pickleball is a fun way to get a great workout.

Golden Village Palms RV Resort

When the sun is going full force, we love to head into the Golden Village Palms shuffleboard complex. The GVP shuffleboard pavilion goes far beyond the shuffleboard tables many have seen. Located next to the putting green and horseshoe pits, this pavilion houses a number of 39-foot decks. Grab a friend and start at game this season at GVP! This is a great activity that's open to everyone.

Silver Palms RV Resort

Put your pedal to the metal at Silver Palms RV Resort! Well, sort of. Here at Silver Palms, guests love to hop on their bicycles and take to the resort streets, nearby trails and more. Some even take off for bike rides around Lake Okeechobee. There is certainly no shortage of biking opportunities here in Okeechobee. Don't want to ride alone? Ask staff or other guests about the riding groups at the resort.

San Diego RV Resort

San Diego is famous for the year-round outdoor activities the area has to offer. A visit to San Diego wouldn't be complete without a trip to our beautiful beaches. If you haven't tried Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), it is a definite "must do." While it is a great core and arm workout, you won't even realize you're exercising because it's too much fun! We recommend getting your sea legs on the calm waters of Mission Bay. And, thanks to the recent popularity of stand up paddleboarding, rentals are readily available around town!

Escondido RV Resort

They say it's easier to workout when you're motivated by a partner. What better partner than your pooch. Escondido RV Resort is home to Sunland's largest dog park. This one-third-acre fenced dog park is complete with dog water fountain, fire hydrant water feature and toys. Get moving with your dog as your run them through the paces and training towns. There is no shortage of space here. And, when you need a rest, enjoy a seat on our benches under beautiful shade trees.

Oak Creek RV Resort

The great outdoors are at your fingertips when you stay at Oak Creek RV Resort. Our quiet country retreat is not far from some fantastic hiking trails including Cleveland National Forest. The southernmost national park in the United States, Cleveland National Forest encompasses an incredible 460,000 acres. Many forest-goers enjoy hiking through by foot or exploring on horseback.
